This was a great project to really push the limits of these tools. It was a personal project idea I had years ago but never developed because of the amount of time it would have taken. However, now was a chance to put these tools through the wringer as well as seeing this project come to life.
It all started with a sketch, as it always should. This became the basis for the turnaround sheet and eventually the styleframes. This, plus the important blocking animation from C4D and the prompt, gave Seedance 2.0 the direction to animate something as close to my vision as possible.
I’d love to say it was all straight-forward but this required many iterations of block-out renders, prompts and settings to achieve something close to what I wanted. This was a complicated sequence though so for simple scenes I can imagine this being far more straight-forward. The final animation is far from perfect and not production ready, but it’s not bad and for pre-production visualisation I see this as a pretty interesting tool.
