ADREA: Return to Origins

ADREA Abu Dhabi’s new Royal Equestrian Centre hosts a weekly showcase of classical horsemanship, accompanied by a projected animation tracing the roots of equestrian arts in the region. I worked across Acts 3 and 4, developing a visual language grounded in traditional techniques and craftsmanship to echo the story we were telling.

ROLE: 3D + 2D MOTION DESIGN | MOTION DESIGNERS: LUCA BRENNA, MATTEO ZANELLA | PRODUCTION ASSISTANT: ALICE BALDWIN | PRODUCER: RAE SHEPARD | CREATIVE DIRECTORS: MARK TODD, LUKE HALLS

The ornate architecture of the space presented significant projection challenges. Through careful previs and spatial planning, we framed the action within the areas most conducive to projection, ensuring clarity and impact.

Each narrative beat was considered in advance of animation and tested from multiple vantage points within the arena. Bottom left is my initial styleframe proposal for these chapters.
